Kampa Museum Extension | B.arch project
Architectural Design Proposal for the extension of the Kampa Museum in Prague
My main goal was to design an exhibition space that interacts with greenery and trees, to minimize the barrier between interior and exterior.
As basic guidelines I used a grid formed by the main axes of the existing museum building. This grid system serves not only as an outline that shapes the layout of the new pavilions but also as a structural element that connects them into a cohesive whole. It creates zones where solids and voids interfere. And as we know the voids or the empty space created by the solids can be as important as the solid object itself.
